Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

CVYP is a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) certified centre and has supported young people to take part in the award for many years, including young people with disabilities and additional needs.

DofE is all about trying new things, challenging yourself, helping others and gaining skills and experiences that you can take with you into the future. The best part is that you get to choose activities that interest you and create your own DofE experience!Young people aged 14–25 can take part at three different levels:

  • 🥉 Bronze – 14+

  • 🥈 Silver – 15+

  • 🥇 Gold – 16+

The award is made up of different sections, giving young people the opportunity to:

🤝 Service – Help people, organisations or the local community
🏃 Physical – Take part in physical activities and work towards improving your fitness
🎨 Skill – Develop a new skill or interest
🥾 Expedition – Plan and complete an adventure as part of a team

At Gold level, there is also a Residential, giving young people the opportunity to spend time away from home, experience something new and develop their independence.

DofE is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, try new experiences, meet new people, build confidence and achieve something you can be proud of. 🌟
